Hi All,

As some of you are already aware, Sassy has not been well this past week. At the end of last week, he had a busy week of visitors and came down sick over the weekend. We made the decision on Monday to call the ambulance and have him taken to hospital. He was having troubles breathing.

After being tested for COVID, and returning a negative result, he was diagnosed with a pneumonia and a lung infection. He will be remaining in hospital for a while to rest and is expected to be back home mid next week. His kidney function continues to decline and is now nearing 3%.

Based on this, and the advice from the medical team at the hospital, they have suggested that we do the following.

  1. No more than 3 visitors a day and not more than three at a time

  2. Visitors should not arrived unannounced

  3. Visits should be limited to 20 minutes and look for signs that Sassy is tired.

  4. If you are sick, have been sick within one week, or near a sick person in the past week, then please stay at home and give sassy a call.

  5. If you call and Sassy does not answer, then he will call you back when he is awake and feeling up to it.

  6. Please maintain strict social distancing at all times.

Thank you for your understanding and support in advance.
